० The benefits of this scheme can only be present or permanent residents of Karnataka.
० This plan provides protection to all the family members and all the tenants.
० The scheme will extend its coverage to every new family and tenant.
० This scheme on GST and VAT taxpayers does not apply to those who have applied for any post.
० If the electricity usage of a beneficiary is more than 200 units per month, they will be liable to pay the full amount of the bill at the rate decided by the state.
० You need to pay your last electricity bill to get the benefit.
० Tenants who can provide a copy of their lease agreement and a valid photo ID will be eligible for the benefits program.
० Grih Jyoti Scheme applications can be processed only with a valid Aadhaar number.

Eligibility Criteria for Gruha Jyothi Scheme
० Gruha Jyoti Scheme will not be applicable to those customers who are using commercial electricity connections.
० Beneficiary should have Aadhaar Card and link an Aadhaar number with his/her Connection ID/Account ID.
० If there is more than one connection in the name of the electricity consumer, then only one connection will be eligible for the facility under this scheme.
० The application form will be accepted only on the Seva Sindhu portal. Applications submitted through other means will not be valid

० Once the page opens, go for New User Registration if you have not registered earlier.
० Once the registration is complete, log in to the account.

० Apply for the scheme from the dashboard, provide the Aadhaar card number, and verify the same.
० Once your Aadhaar is verified, provide the data related to your electricity connection and submit your application.
